Scheme Guidelines
Aawas Yojana is designed to provide affordable housing opportunities through a transparent and technology-driven token-based system. These guidelines explain the eligibility, process, and responsibilities involved for all stakeholders in the scheme.
1. Objective of the Scheme
The primary objective of Aawas Yojana is to bridge the housing gap in India by allowing individuals to invest small amounts (via tokens) in properties, with a fair and transparent system of allotment through live draws or events.
2. Who Can Apply?
- Indian citizens above 18 years of age.
- Applicants with valid identification (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.).
- Individuals who do not currently own a pucca house (priority given).
- First-time buyers seeking affordable and secure housing options.
3. Token-Based Investment Model
The Aawas Yojana operates on a unique investment model using property tokens:
- Each property listed on the platform is divided into a limited number of tokens.
- Users can purchase one or multiple tokens to enter the live allotment event.
- The system ensures every token has an equal and fair chance to win.
4. Allotment Process
The allotment process is conducted transparently through live events or digital randomization:
- Each event is broadcast live to ensure complete transparency.
- Winners are randomly selected from the token pool.
- Once a token is allotted a property, the remaining tokens are reset for the next cycle.
- Allotment details are sent to the winner via SMS, email, and are also reflected in the dashboard.
5. Payment & Ownership Transfer
Upon winning a property token allotment:
- The winner must complete the remaining payment as per the scheme guidelines.
- Payment gateway options (EMI, UPI, Netbanking) are available.
- Once payment is complete, legal documents and property transfer will be initiated.
6. Refund & Reattempt Policy
In case a token is not selected in an event:
- Users may choose to re-enter in the next cycle or request a refund.
- Refunds are processed digitally within 7 working days (excluding payment gateway charges).
- Reattempt option is available via dashboard settings.
7. Transparency & Legal Compliance
- Every transaction is recorded and verified through blockchain-backed logs.
- Live events are conducted with legal observers and technical audits.
- All property listings are RERA-approved and verified.
8. User Responsibilities
- Maintain updated personal and contact information.
- Ensure timely payment of dues post-allotment.
- Do not misuse or attempt to manipulate the allotment system.
